Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment and planning, medication and equipment management, anesthesia administration, intraoperative and peri-anesthetic monitoring, post-anesthesia care and discharge, pain management and advanced techniques, emergency and critical interventions, and ensuring compliance, safety, and collaboration. The role requires a graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program, current state licensure, BLS and ACLS certification, certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, and insurability by a medical malpractice insurer. Experience preferred is 8-12 years related with 5 years as a CRNA.
